The current trend, however, marks a reversal after a recent low of just 11 goalless draws two seasons ago. Set-pieces have become increasingly influential, with fewer than two-thirds (64.5%) of goals this season coming from open play—a figure only lower once before, in 2009-10. Arsenal have scored 14 goals from set-pieces (excluding penalties), more than any other side.
